Fashion Week Backtrack: Day 2, Show 3- ALICE ROI

I went right from the Sabyasachi exit into the line for Alice Roi without even stopping to catch my breath or have a momentary thought outside of fashion. It was so packed in there that I ended up standing for the first time, and all the way in the back of the back of the back- behind a speaker, to boot! Suffice to say, I couldn’t really get a good look at the clothes, especially considering these grandma eyes of mine but from the pictures I’m looking at here on line, everything appears to have been really beautiful. haha.

All joking aside, I could see enough to know that I liked what was being presented. I mean, with the slouchy fits and disheveled bed-hair and all, what’s for a trashionista not to love?

A REAL Punk-Rock soundtrack created an edgy mood as the emotionless models zipped down the u-shaped runway at a hurried pace in things like green portrait tees, navy rhodoid dresses, double belted skirts and embroidered poppy stolen sleeve shirts. It was all very beautiful, but relaxed. This is the kind of clothing for ethereal beings who want to be seen as effortless things of beauty who just don’t give a fuck. The collection is Feminine without being prim n’ proper and very Spring without the cliche use of pastels.
I can dig it.
