REEM ACRA Front and Center

There are a lot of people at Fashion Week with their heads stuck up their own ass so I’m sure these types were annoyed when they saw my homeless looking ass at Reem Acra in the front row with the Neimans buyers while most people stood with their expensive necks craned in the back. That’s the way love goes, baby.
A note on the seat from Reem Acra read; “It is all about fusion this season. I have layered this collection with some of my favorite daywear pieces. My fabrics have been treated with the most modern of techniques creating both matte and shine. Linen satins have been glazed in tones of pecan, platinum and moonstone. There are organzas, georgettes and chiffons that have been hand dip-dyed. I have fused the glamour of eveningwear into daywear and the modernityof day into my evening.”

This was the sexiest collection I have seen so far. Everything was light and metallic and bronzey with alluring decolletage and subtle hints of glamour. There was a lot of texturing with chiffon and organza mesh layering and the perfect amount of crystal beadwork accents. Nothing was too gaudy or too frilly or too anything but perfect. Now, I’m no fancy pants but this collection was so beatiful, that even I couldn’t deny it. I would probably wear every piece in the collection if given a chance — Although it would probably clash with my ratty George Clinton hair. haha.
My favorite outfits by far were the Metallic Jersey T-shirts paired with mini-houndstooth and silk wrinkle pleated skirts. This was another collection with great movement. Everything looked light and feminine and breezy.

I also want to mention how cute it was to see Lily Cole’s cheeks jiggle in person. She is a living porcelain doll for sure and was the perfect model to compliment this collection.
