*sigh* This is my first and hopefully last scathing Fashion review ever.
A bus arrived at Bryant Park to shuttle us to the Metropolitan Pavillion where Anand Jon’s Jeanisis show was being held. It then proceeded to drop us off at the wrong location. Were off to a great start, right? The people at the door don’t have information about anyones seating arrangements so you’re just supposed to tell them where your seat is and they believe you. In that case everyone is front row, right?

Then the show was taking more than forever to start (forever is expected in fashion but more than forever and I start to get annoyed), I decide to make ample use of the time by catching up on my blogging so that I can hopefully be liveblogging about HIS show by the time it starts but unlike any of the other locations, they are not providing any free wifi access inside the building and I don’t have a connection of my own right now so I have to pay with a credit card in order to connect. I start fumbling around my multiple bags for a credit card and somehow manage to lose my cell phone although this is something I do not realize until I am long gone (I am still without the phone, btw).

Then the show starts. I am trying to think of an elegant way to state this but well, there really isn’t one. I HATED IT. From top to bottom despised everything. It was a big lot of poorly executed hoochified clubwear that wasn’t even styled decently. It was the polar opposite of Sabyasachi, no an ounce of class to be seen and believe me, I tried very hard to look for the light at the end of this tunnel. There’s really no point in me describing the clothes, it wasn’t even fashion to me. It was bargain basement stripper store gear in my opinion and some of the nudity shown was gratuitious and obscene. Now, I am not a prude at all, I love naked bodies as much as everyone else but I simply wasn’t there to see a bedazzled strip show.

I was so annoyed that I left as soon as I could and decided to not go to anymore shows for the rest of the day in fear of wasting my time only to be disappointed. It was a long day and I really hated having to end it that way. So far this was the only show that I disliked and that’s really all I have to say. Maybe some of you thought differently.
