Second Life Fashion Blog

So, I don’t profess to understand or know much about this whole ‘Second Life‘ phenomenon except that it’s a game (I’m sorry, ‘Internet-based Virtual World’) that certain gamer types seem to be really into and that one of my favorite bands, AIR, has some sort of virtual presence in their little world.
–but somehow I accidentally ran across a Second Life Fashion Blog today, which I found pretty amusing. When it comes to “teh interwebs”, I do believe that I have officially seen it all now. Now, I’m not necessarily making fun, because that would be ignorant since I’ve never tried the game…er, virtual world. OK, so I am making fun *a little bit* (in my head anyway)…but maybe I’m just jealous since I don’t even have enough time for my First Life?

Oh, we got over that whole “no time for my first life” thing by just giving up on ever leaving the house.
Feel free to make fun. It *is* a very strange world we inhabit, but if you’re going to be one of the million plus people inhabiting it, we’d like you to please leave the hoochie at home!
Anyone can join Second Life and be a Hootchie Mama in barely-there clothes, what *really* counts are those people with enough real life taste to find the ‘couture’ in Second Life. Lindenlifestyles paves the way for those of us who do not wish to wear pleated miniskirts with stilleto fur-trimmed boots.
If you find yourself joining the virtual world that is Second Life, you may appreciate them as much as I do!
Stella, I personally invite you to join Second Life. I stumbled across your blog while searching for SL-related fashion blogs. Love your writing. Your real world experience would definitely lend a unique and grounded perspective to the world of virtual fashion. Drop in and say ‘Hi’ sometime.
ha, I’ve never played SL myself, but that SL fashion blog somehow reminds me of Polyvore. Except Polyvore is more for real. well, more or less…
I heard that some major corporations are watching how Second Life grows and some are even setting up shop inside ‘the game’ in order to get more attention. It’s interesting to say the least.
