It looks like those magazine gremlins will do anything to keep the February issue of W magazine and its transgender photo shoot with Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce out of the conservative Midwest. Early Wednesday, a tractor trailor carrying a load of Ws collided with another truck, resulting in at least one pallet of magazines haphazardly falling onto Interstate 71 in Cincinnati. Those that drove by the crash saw cover subjects Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig marred by the accident. All kidding aside, no one was said to be injured, but the Cincinnati Enquirer reported the crash involved a large spill of diesel fuel. The accident blocked two lanes on the interstate from 7 a.m. to approximately 3:45 p.m. The truck that contained the issues of W (as well as other magazine titles) was en route to a plant in Cincinnati. A W spokeswoman said it is too soon to know how many magazines were thrown from the truck or how the accident will affect newsstand delivery. She added that more details will not be obtained until later today. -Source: Ed2010 Filed under: Gossip and Random Comments: None |

Another GO Designer arrives at Target February 4 and it’s Proenza Schouler!!! Are you shocked? I admit that I was a *little* when I first read that but I love Proenza Schouler and have absolutely nothing against designer clothes being more accessible to the mass-market through lower price points. It makes designers stinkin’ rich and keeps people who can’t afford to shop at high-end boutiques happy. Sure, it might dilute the feeling of exclusivity for some snobby fashionistas but hey, more and more designers are doing this so they might as well get used to it. Here are some of the looks:
I think they look pretty rad. Probably the best one of these Target ‘Go International’ things, yet. What do you guys think? Filed under: Fashion and Gossip and Outfit Ideas and Shopping and Stella Recommends Comments: 14 Comments |

It’s no secret that I am and always have been a supporter of purported mega-pervert Dov Charney and his casual clothing chain, American Apparel — despite the fact that the seams on my clothing from them sometimes unravel — so my reaction to to the news of American Apparel being sold to Endeavor Acquisition Corporation for $382.5 million is, well…mixed.
I like Dov so on one hand, I am very happy for him and any success he encounters in life. And, just like a Starbucks of the t-shirt world, American Apparel is already on every street corner so it’s not as if AA is some obscure little secret that is going to be leaked out to the rest of the TRL-watching world. Also, with more backup funding available for production costs, maybe the quality of clothing will increase but I can’t help but wonder “at what cost?”. Since both companies refuse to comment on the details of the transaction, I can only speculate. For me, a lot of AA’s appeal came from the fact that everything was made in the good ol’ U.S. of A — my hometown, specifically…while Endeavor is known to farm out their work overseas. I am hoping that the former will not change. I guess only time will tell. Filed under: Fashion and Gossip and Menswear and Random and Shopping Comments: 3 Comments |

Sooo, my new style-wife Mary-Kate Olsen has a new platinum blond look and I’m not quite sure how I feel about it…since I’m team brunette, I might have to trade her in for her darker haired sister - just kidding! Regardless of how her hair looks, her fashion sense is still on point, as always.
