Everyone looked great, especially the designers. My idol Chloe Sevigny was there. Christina Milian and Carmen Electra showed up wearing nearly identical outfits (from the collection). Yikes! Already I don’t want that shirt because obviously everyone and their brother is going to have it. I still don’t have a formal opinion of the clothes. I’ll have to look at them more, in the flesh, when they arrive at H&M on November 9th.
As far as the clothes, this is my favorite look from the collection. I really, really like the skirt:

How cute is this invite starring one of my most favorite femmes, Irina Lazareanu?
Answer=very! Just go to the site [www.chanel.com] to view Chanel’s entire delicious S/S 07 collection online. Yum, yum, yum! I really want that suit she’s wearing. As far as the collection goes, it’s incredible. It’s bold, chic and monochromatic. I am so tired of pastels in the S/S palette so things like their white blazers paired with black sequined hotpants are just what the doctor ordered! Lots of gold and silver mixing and matching with the accessories. I just love it. Here is my absolute favorite look from the collection:
That oversized logo necklace is outta control! Filed under: Fashion and Models and Runway Shows Comments: None |

The grandfather of Kate Moss’ only daughter has hit out at the supermodel’s drug addict boyfriend, Pete Doherty, amid fears that the four-year-old will be exposed to drugs. Speaking for the first time about his daughter-in-law’s love life, Douglas Hack has said that he does not want Lila Grace anywhere near the Babyshambles singer. ‘We’re worried about Doherty and his drug situation,’ he said. ‘We don’t want Lila around him or drugs. ‘But Kate is headstrong. She’s going to do whatever she wants and who can tell her otherwise. ‘It’s not like she’s listen to us anyway, she just loves the whole rock thing.’ The 32-year-old model has been dating Doherty, who, until recently, was in rehab undergoing treatment for heroin and crack cocaine addiction, for 18 months. Although Miss Moss remains close to her in-laws, her relationship with the 27-year-old singer is badly effecting her friendship with the father of her child, Jefferson Hack. Indeed, Douglas, 68, revealed that his son ‘can’t stand’ Doherty. ‘Jefferson doesn’t like Pete at all,’ he told Closer magazine. ‘They’ve been in the same room a couple of times, but really just by accident. He left as soon as he saw him, Jefferson can’t stand him.’ Filed under: Fashion and Gossip and Models Comments: None |

John Galliano’s Spring 2007 Show in Paris started off simple enough with clean white suits and bold sequined eyebrows but got progressively complicated, ultimately ending in undecipherable mayhem. While some of it may seem a bit “over the top”, art at this level makes me think that I would rather skip next New York Fashion Week and save my pennies for gay ol’ Paree. What a blast it must have been to witness this kind of mayhem in the flesh!

Metro.Pop’s August/September issue featured a beautiful editorial called “Seeing Double” (shot by Sarah McColgan and Styled by Beba Knight), that featured several models sporting Butter Yellow Oxfords by Wunderkind. At New York Fashion Week, Men’s-style Oxfords seemed to be the footwear of choice as well, showing up everywhere from the Sabyasachi runway show to the Vena Cava presentation. Just in case you are unfamiliar with the term ‘Oxford’, it is a lace up shoe with a thin sole, that originated in Scotland and is typically constructed of heavy leather. It is generally thought of as a Men’s Dress Shoe — I believe my Father used to wear them to church.
This is a look that works on the streets as well, The Sartorialist captured a really great shot in Paris of Teen Vogue’s Gloria Baume rocking oxfords with white socks and her trench coat. I’m loving it! My pick for really wonderful, high-quality, yet affordable Oxfords, is the ‘Gretta’ by Delman Shoes, made of tumbled-grain calfskin: They come in Black, Khaki, Light Brown, Natural and are available for $159.00 at BlueFly.com Filed under: Fashion and Fashion Week and Inspiration and Menswear and Models and Outfit Ideas and Runway Shows and Shoes and Shopping and Stella Recommends Comments: 6 Comments |
