Cory Kennedy - She is the epitome of Trashionista/Hobo Chic (obviously, MY personal favorite subculture of style). If you haven’t heard of her yet, believe me you will. This teenage scene queen has been taking the world by storm. First conquering Hollywood Nightlife before she was even of legal drinking age, she is now spreading her wildfire allure into the pages of Fashion Magazines — most recently, NYLON — capturing the attention of legions of international fans. Love her or hate her, you have to admit that she has a certain something that makes you stop and look. Personally, I have mixed feelings about the public support of her underage nonstop partygirl lifestyle - however , I’m so feeling the devil-may-care vibe of her style and her fashion sense is on point! She is definitely a trendsetter and thus, I get a lot of young girls asking about what clothes she is wearing and where to buy them or how to achieve her look, on the online communities that I frequent. Despite her stylishly unkempt appearance, most of the items she wears are designer and are very expensive for the average non-jetsetter-teen-to early 20’s budget.
So….with the help of my favorite cheap.chic shopping spot; dELiAs.cOm Yara Bubble Dress Pocket Tote Shell Medallion Necklace Pair all of this with a vintage headscarf, some black maui/hirachi sandals and a smudge of E.L.F.’s Cosmetics Coffee - Brightening Eye Liner Oh yeah, and remember not to brush your hair….have fun kids! I love thermals. Always have, always will. I’m a TRUE Trashionista so I honestly don’t care if their in season, in style or even in decent condition. They bring about fond childhood memories, are cute and comfortable as can be. I can wear them from the bed or out and about with my jeans — I don’t care. Theyre one of my permanent-favorite wardrobe staples and this Foley Zebra Print Thermal Expect to see me roaming the East Coast this Fall wearing this with a white vest, skinnies, high boots and a stack of layered gold necklaces. Funky Fresh Ya’ll. Filed under: Fashion and Outfit Ideas and Shopping and Stella Recommends and Street Culture Comments: 1 Comment |

![]() Named one of Paper Magazine’s “Beautiful People 2006″, Comedic Pop-Rapper Leslie Hall is the self-proclaimed “founding father” of gem-sweater history and knowledge. Hard at work on her second album, she is also writing a book, Gem Sweaters Be Thy Name, to help elucidate the finer points of collecting. Hall is also curating a gem-sweater museum that will include a full-service gift shop and 150 photos of Hall wearing different sweaters from her personal collection. “I want it to go on the road,” she says with determination. Check out the photo collection of her from Vice Magazine
HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA, I’m LOVIN’ it! Makes me wanna think twice about all those gem sweaters I’ve ignored at the thrift store. I really need to get started on my passion — Holiday sweaters — before someone else does! Filed under: Fashion and Random and Street Culture Comments: 3 Comments |
